Today we learned words in Maori.

First Whae odie  told us words in maori e.g nui and iti

Then we all translated the words into english iti was small nui was big

Lastly we all said bye to Whaea Odie.

I enjoyed translating the words. I need to improve on pronouncing the words. I did well on translating the words.

Today ls1 did PE sports.

I learned how to catch and throw and pass.

First I cought into my chest when the ball was coming to me.

When I threw I used my non dominant hand to point and used my dominant hand to throw.

Lastly when I was passing I was passing from the chest and passing with a W shaped like hand.

I learned about the legend and how to play Ki o Rahi.

First I watched a video about the legend Ki o Rahi.

Second I learned about the spaces of the Ki o Rahi field.

Lastly I played a game to practice running between the spaces.

I enjoyed running to the spaces. I did well on running to the spaces. I need to improve on getting the spaces right.

Ms Whae Odie brought us by groups to learn numbers in maori.

We were brought 1 by 1 as a group Ms Whae Odie used cards for the numbers.

Next ms Whae Odie picked a card and chose us to say it we had to hold the card and say “Ane”  to ms Whae Odie when we were giving the cards back.

She let us start off by units then went to the tens she started making it harder for us.

I need to improve on pronouncing the words in maori I enjoyed saying the numbers and giving the card to ms Whae Odie

Today half of ls1 did PE in the hall, the sport we did was soccer.

First we started off with passing. We had to pass in a triangle with three people.

Next we did stopping and passing, we only did small passes.

Then we did dribbling we had to do small control.

Ms White made us do a dribbling race my team won the first round.

After that we were all tired.

I need to improve on passing the ball softly,I enjoyed playing the dribbling game.I did well on stopping and passing the ball.

Audiences are groups of people who recieve information. There are three types of audiences. They are  individual,  group, everyone.

An indiviidul audience is communicating with a single person.

A group is communicating with a small number of people

The last audience means everyone in the world.

Different apps communicate with diffrent audiences.

Yesterday Ls1 learned some new soccer skills by coach  Chelsea. She told us how to pass,dribble and stop the ball. To dribble the ball you need to move your feet left and right with the inside of your feet. To pass the ball you need to kick with the inside of the feet and with your non-dominant foot. To stop the ball you have to tell when to stop the ball. Then coach Chelsea put us into 4 teams then putting us into 2 groups we played soccer but to win you had to pass the ball to your other group. Sadly no one won the game we all said a big thanks to coach Chelsea.

I need to improve on passing the ball with my non dominant foot.

I did great on stopping the ball.

I enjoyed playing the soccer game with 2 groups.

We learnt how to make complex sentences

First we learned every complex sentence starts with a Aaawwubis. They are although,as,when while and many others.

Next we learned that complex sentences include a independent and dependent clause. We used complex sentences to make a comic we took pictures and used complex words to make the comic. we used many Aaawwubis words.

I did well in thinking of the Aaawwubis words.

I enjoyed taking the pictures.

I need to improve in staying still for the pictures.
